It was founded by Mr. Mark Zhang, an Australian-Chinese scientist with an academic background of a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci). The brand's core philosophy is to transform the natural vitality of pure Australian herbs with the harmonious wisdom of Eastern herbal culture , through precise analysis using modern chemistry and nutritional science, into a herbal beverage system truly suitable for modern people's daily well-being.

The creation of WaWa Tea stems from the founder's years of experience in the medical and scientific research fields in both China and Australia:

• During my teaching and research phase at the School of Pharmacy, a prestigious 985 university in China, I published academic papers and participated in the compilation of national textbooks, conducting in-depth research on the structural mechanisms, pharmacological reactions, and functional formulations of herbal active ingredients.
• In my work with major Australian medical institutions and research units, I have consistently focused on the traditional applications and modern scientific analysis of Australia's unique native herbs.
